Colusa FBLA Officers Reach Beyond the Stars at OAT Day 2025!​

On Monday, September 29, 2025, the CHS FBLA Officer Team attended the California Northern Section Officer and Adviser Training Day (OAT Day) in Chico, CA. This year was special for Colusa, as three of our members are serving as Northern Section officers: Rajdeep Shoker, Tyler Hughes, and Eloise Duran. OAT Day is held every year to get officers and advisers ready for the new FBLA season, share updates about events and competitions, and give students a chance to connect with other chapters.

Colusa’s officers spent the day in group discussions, workshops, and breakout sessions. They worked on skills like public speaking, organization, event planning, and leadership within their officer roles. Getting to collaborate with officers from eight other schools showed our team how big the FBLA network really is and how many leaders are working toward the same goals.

One highlight for Colusa was their chapter introduction, “The Leadership Hospital.” Officers acted as “patients” with diagnoses related to their positions, while Miss Ferraiuolo played the role of the doctor. Another standout moment was when Madison Wolf gave an elevator pitch about how her four years in FBLA have impacted her journey and shaped her future. Both activities showed the creativity and dedication of Colusa’s chapter.

By the end of the day, the team left inspired and ready for what’s ahead. With the Leadership Development Institute (LDI) in October and Section Competitions in January, Colusa FBLA is excited to put their new ideas and training into action to make this one of their best years yet.
